Founded as a Jesuit venture in 1951, National College of Ireland (NCI) is a not-for-profit, state-aided third-level education institution located in Dublin. It is now an independent college, offering full-time and part-time courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students. The college was earlier known as National College of Industrial Relations (NCIR) which was then re-branded as the National College of Ireland (NCI) in 1998. The college is located a short walk to the Silicon Valley of Europe, in the heart of the International Financial Services Centre – IFSC. Dublin City University is another good university located in Northside Dublin, Ireland. It was opened in 1980 as the National Institute for Higher Education, Dublin and was elevated to university status in 1989.
