When will NTA conduct JEE Main 2021 remaining sessions?

According to the latest news reports, the JEE Main 2021 exam date for the remaining sessions will most likely be released by June 30, 2021. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set with a blueprint for conducting JEE Main 2021.

As per the blueprint, the JEE Main 2021 exam will be conducted in the fourth week of July and by mid-August 2021. In addition, the reports state that both sessions will be conducted within a time period of 20 to 25 days.

The national-level engineering entrance exam was formerly scheduled to be conducted in April and May. But, NTA announced the postponement of the exam due to the rise in COVID-19 cases.

So, with the news of the revocation of the CBSE Class 12 Board exams, students are eagerly waiting for updates on the JEE Main 2021 exam date, form release and more with regards to the April and May postponed sessions.

Therefore, it is most likely that students will get the update with regards to the remaining sessions by the end of this month. The JEE Main 2021 first session was held from 23 to 26 February 2021.

The number of candidates who appeared in the first session was 6.20 lakh (6, 20, 978). Out of those, only six students managed to score a 100 percentile in the first session of JEE Main.

Following the sudden spike in the COVID-19 cases, the NTA announced the rescheduling of the JEE Main 2021 exam date for the April session. The agency was going to release the admit cards soon, but the process got delayed and is on hold.

NTA made an official announcement concerning the same. They stated that due to the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic and considering the safety of the students and the staff, they will postpone the JEE Main 2021 April session.

Nonetheless, with the announcement of the altered dates for the JEE Main 2021 exam by the end of June, stay assured that it will be done no less than 15 days prior to the examination.

As things are not clear on the April session yet, it is hard to get updates about the May session. Nothing fresh has been posted regarding the May session as well. However, the Ministry of Education will soon make an announcement on its decision to conduct the remaining sessions of the JEE Main 2021.

A report by PTI has confirmed that a review meeting will most likely be held soon to make a decision regarding the pending sessions of the JEE Main 2021 exam. Similarly, they also discussed the NEET-UG exam. They said that cancelling class 12 board exams due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation has been helpful in providing more clarity. It concluded by saying that they will decide the schedule soon for the upcoming sessions.

As NTA has not made an official announcement, make sure to keep an eye on the official website at nta.nic.in, as well as the JEE Main 2021 website at jeemain.nta.nic.in for any updates.
