How high could unemployment go?
Most economists expect the percentage to rise a touch later this year albeit it’s hoped more restrictions are often lifted.
That is because many government support schemes – like furlough – are thanks to end after September.
The Bank of England expects the percentage to succeed in around 5.5% within the autumn.
However, the amount of unemployed is predicted to fall next year because the economy continues to recover.
