Family and Personal Life

Brown is in a marriage with Danielle. While appearing on the talk show “Dr. Phil,” he made some shocking statements. He said that he is a father to four kids, but he hadn’t met two of them. This revelation raised eyebrows and made the public think about his relationship with children.

Besides that, Brown made another statement that turned out to be false. He claimed to be the son of the famous late pop star Michael Jackson. Such false claims have made people doubt his credibility and trustworthiness. People started to question the truthfulness of his claims and the accuracy of his story.

Career History

Orlando Brown started his television career in 1995 with appearances on the show “Coach” and the TV movie “Family Values.” During the same year, he secured the role of Tiger in the film “Major Payne.” The following year, in 1996, Brown made guest appearances on episodes of “In the House” and “The Parent Hood.” The period marked significant milestones in his career by securing breakthrough roles. He portrayed Damey Wayne in the TV series “Waynehead” and 3J in the popular series “Family Matters”.   People saw how talented Orlando Brown was when he acted in important episodes of TV shows like “Malcolm & Eddie,” “Sister, Sister,” “The Pretender,” and “The Wayans Bros.” In 1998, he got a small part in the movie “Senseless at the Gate,” and people liked his performance. This helped him get more chances to act in the future.

He went on to portray the character of Max in the series “Two of a Kind” (1998–1999) and Nelson in “The Jamie Foxx Show” (1998–2001). He established himself as a recognizable face in the television world. Brown continued to make appearances on shows like “Malcolm & Eddie” and “Friends and Foes” in 1999. He also got nominated for the “Best Performance in a TV Series” award for his performance in “Safe Harbor”. The following year, in 2000, Orlando was cast in the movie “Perfect Game”.  Thereafter, he lends his voice to the character of Bear Little Boy in “The Tangerine Bear.”

Achievements & Accolades

Orlando Brown’s contributions to the entertainment industry are acknowledged. He was honored with a Young Artist Award nomination for his role in “Family Matters”. Then, he clinched a Young Artist Award for his memorable performance in “That’s So Raven.”

Furthermore, Brown’s musical endeavors have not gone unnoticed. His single “Fuck my Fame” garnered respect and earned him the prestigious Hollywood Music in Media Award. This strengthened his position as a versatile artist who excels in both acting and music.

Orlando’s Association with Disney Channel

Orlando Brown rose to prominence through his association with Disney. This was particularly for his role as Eddie Thomas in the hit Disney Channel series “That’s So Raven.” The show aired from 2003 to 2007 and played a significant role in establishing himself as a recognizable face. His character of the lovable best friend of the main character Raven Baxter received love from the audience.

“That’s So Raven” became a massive success and helped catapult Brown into the limelight, gaining him a huge fan base. The show’s popularity also opened doors for Brown’s music career. Disney released a soundtrack album featuring his songs from the series.

Brown’s affiliation with Disney further expanded with appearances in other Disney projects. This includes guest roles on shows like “The Proud Family” and “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.” These opportunities helped him build a connection with Disney and its loyal fan base.

Orlando Brown is in the industry for two decades, starting his journey at 14. But he didn’t receive the fame that he should have due to various legal cases and controversies.

Reliable sources like Wikipedia and IMDB estimate Orlando’s net worth to be around $2 million.  Most of his income is generated from his acting endeavors, totaling over $500,000. Despite earning so much throughout his career, he has not demonstrated financial responsibility. Maybe in the long run, he will transform positively, embracing a more prudent approach to secure a stable future for himself and his family.

Legal Troubles and Controversies

In February 2016, he was arrested in Torrance because he had a public fight with his girlfriend. The police charged him with hurting his girlfriend, trying to stop the police from doing their job and having drugs with the intention of selling them. Brown was held in Barstow in March when he didn’t go to court on the assigned date.  Brown ran away to Nevada, but in April, he was caught by people who track down fugitives (called bounty hunters) in Las Vegas.

Unfortunately, Brown got into more trouble later in the year. In July, he was arrested again in Las Vegas after leaving a hotel where illegal activities like prostitution and drug deals happened. The police found him with meth (a dangerous drug) and a pipe used for smoking drugs. After spending a short time in rehab, Brown broke into a restaurant in Las Vegas. Finally, in December 2022, he was again arrested for hurting someone in Lima, Ohio. Brown was homeless then and reportedly threatened his brother with a knife and a hammer. As a result, he was put in jail in Allen County.
