What About Fight Club OTT Release Date?
Vijay Kumar starring Fight Club was released on December 15 in theatres. After its successful run in theatres, the movie is slated to be released on the OTT. As per the current trend in the entertainment industry, a movie released in theatres needs a four-week window before coming out on OTT.
Fight Club has been one of the most anticipated Tamil releases on the OTT platform in recent times. The movie has Vijay Kumar in the lead role. It has started streaming on Disney-Hotstar soon.
Fight Club made its box office debut on December 15, 2023. Conforming to the industry norm, Fight Club OTT India release was supposed to be, around the time of Pongal celebration.
The Scene behind the Curtain
It took 2 years to make Fight Club. However, the movie had its theatrical release only after the production responsibilities were passed to director Lokesh Kamagaraj. Initially, the movie had no name. In 2021, it went into production and was supposed to be the first film under the banner Reel Good Films. However, it never saw the light of the day in theatres.
By that time, Lokesh launched his new production banner G Squad, under which he decided to take over the production responsibilities of the movie. He influenced the original Fight Club producer and also came with financial assistance, which paved the way for a wide release of the movie.
Lokesh gave out a series of interviews for the film’s promotion ahead of Fight Club’s release to create awareness about his upcoming movie.
With Fight Club, Abbas A Rahmath made his directorial debut. He had experience of working with Vijay Kumar in Uriyadi 1 and 2.
Vijay Kumar became a sensation in the Tamil film industry with his 2016 debut project Uriyadi. He played the lead role in the movie, apart from directing and producing it. Uriyadi became a big hit in theatres and Vijay was praised for his acting both by the film critics and audiences.
Riding on the success of Uriyadi, he featured in its 2019 sequel Uriyadi 2 and it became a huge hit at the box office.
