Having talent is not enough for people to acknowledge your abilities. If you want the world to look at you, you need to go all out and make yourself stand out in any way you can.
Unfortunately, since there are millions of talented people in the world, it has become a competitive race for everyone to shine out amongst the rest of the crowd. In that case, you really need to consider modifying your approach to your audience and making use of your tactics to their full potential.
Most beginners tend to consult the advice of people who have already made it big in the professional sector – a prime example being Grace Wan, a Canadian actress, producer, director, musician, filmmaker, singer, and screenwriter.
For years now, she has spent her career moving back and forth from different industries, giving her the insight she needed to learn how to effectively appeal to the crowd through her exceptional talents. She began to get featured in multiple roles for several films and music videos and even auditioned in the Canadian Idol Season 4 in Vancouver, where she sang “Inside Your Heaven” and “Greatest Love of All.”
After taking acting classes at the Westcoast Actors Studio, Moonstone Theatre, Vancouver Academy of Dramatic Arts, and Granville Actors Studio and receiving certificates for her excellent progress, she began her career as an Office Assistant at the Mainstream Company where she currently works at the POCO Office Building.
Her debut film was a short romantic comedy, ‘Shampoozled’, where she played the role of an Asian homeowner and had even taken part in a fund-raising film, ‘Graffiti Flowers.’ Eventually, her acting career went through its popularity boost after she gained immense recognition for her supporting role, Jamie Fu, in a short drama film, ‘Family Portrait.’ Afterward, she even got the opportunity to work with famous actors like Antonio Banderas in the action film ‘Acts of Vengeance.’
One of the major struggles that Grace experienced was that she was not successful every time she tried something new. But she was relentless in her pursuit to showcase her abilities which is why she tried everything until finally, she found her place in the entertainment industry – and now she wishes to share some tips to help other aspiring creators in their journey.
Make Use of Social Media Platforms
Do not underestimate the power of social media. With more then a majority of the world population now focusing their time on the internet, social media has the biggest audience worldwide – making it the ideal a place for you to share your talent and have it seen by people from all over the world. If your talent is impressive enough, you are bound to find agencies coming over to scout you.
Posting Longer Videos
Now many people fear the idea of sharing longer videos as they don’t want to share too much information. However, this can be a big problem as short videos are not enough to attract the audience, making all the effort you put into the video useless.
In the end, it is better to give more than to waste what little you have provided. Plus, the more you share, the more you are likely to grab the attention of all kinds of people who would be willing to offer you the help you need to leave your mark on this world.
