In-Depth Guide on What to Do After Writing a Blog Post

Do you think you are just done after writing a blog post?

Actually, no, the main objective of writing a blog post is to publish it and have it seen by as many people as possible!

What if you just wrote a blog post and published it, will this be wrong.

Well yes, as a Digital marketing specialist we think it is very wrong just to write a blog post and publish it before adding some juicy ingredients. You need to understand that writing a blog post is not the end of the journey, but rather just the beginning of your journey.

What to Do After Writing a Blog Post

Now, once you have written the content for your blog, you need to follow the following simple guidelines.

This information is not a secret but not many content marketers use these methods even though its readily available online.

1.    Go Through Your Blog’s Content Once Again

Yes, you did write your content, and you are convinced that the content is pretty perfect. It is not wrong to believe in your work, but I advise that you reread it again.

The better way of doing it again is by giving you colleague, or try this tool that help you go through the content. This is called proofreading, and it does help. By reading your content, you will be able to find minor mistakes that may cost you, you will also be able to add more facts that will help enrich the content.

As a final tip, you may want to take your content and upload it to Google translation. Instead of translating the content you can click on the “Listen button” at the top. The software will read out the content and give you a better idea if something is wrong with your blog post.

2.    Ensure That Your Grammar Is Correct

Grammar and spelling mistakes are the major thing that can downgrade your content.

What can you really do to improve your grammar? Luckily there is many programs online that can help you with your grammar. A well-known program called Grammerly can help you to find those pesky grammar or punctuation issues. If you think this isgoing to be hardwork, then there is an option hiring an editor that will check your content before you upload it.

3.    Enhance Your Work with Pictures and Graphics

Content that has graphics is more attractive and looks more organized. Actually, from statistics, it is clear that those blogs with graphics and attractive pictures get more views and shares.

Why do you think the use of pictures is helpful?

The pictures are a way of attracting the audience’s attention and keeping them loyal even maybe share the blog post on social media. And who does not want their blogs to be popular?

Guess no one wants to have a dull blog. One more troubling issue that you may find complicated is where do get the graphics. Well lucky for you there is many websites online that provide royalty free images. (you can just do a quick search on google for sites that provide “royalty free images”)

4.      Choose a Very Attractive Headline

The headline is what spells it all. The more attractive the heading, the more you will get people to view your blog.

I know you may have so many ideas, so many confusing headlines and so many possibilities for the headline. Choosing which headline to have for your blog can prove to be a very bigtask.

Let me make it simple for you.

Once you have the multiple headings in your mind, make sure you put them down so that you don’t forget.

From the many topics then choose the most suitable one. Now check if this headline exists already on search engines. This will give you an idea on how many websites you will be competing with.

The topic is very important part of the blog as this is the first thing the reader will see before they click on the link.

This is what has been proven to be true, 90% of the viewer’s concentrate on the headline first before even looking at the content itself. This is enough to make you realize how important the headline is.

5.    Create and Add a Signup Form to the Blog

What is this about the sign-up forms? Simply, the sign-up forms are the platform where you ask your audience to subscribe to your posts.

This is a simple way of building up your email database by collecting as many email subscribers as possible. Now that you have their email address, you may want to follow up later with other blog posts in the same niche.

6.    Spice Up the Content with Questions

The Shopping cart experts – Comalytics told us that the use of questions, especially at the end of the content, is to encourage the readers to make their comments about the blog or give their opinions. As a professional blogger, I find it encouraging to find some comments or opinions left below the question section in my blog.
Before you do anything, remove the spam and then answer the valid questions.

How are the questions helpful?

You will realize that the number of views will increase once someone put a comment on your blog.  Just a single discussion from a single view can make your blog very popular. What you should also keep in mind is that once you find an opinion on the form of a question, then be sure to answer it. This is a simple way of opening up a way for more views, opinions, questions, and discussions.

7.    Create Sections in Your Blog by Dividing with Small Subtitles

Do you think the subtitles will really make a difference? Sure, it will make a very big difference. A content piece that is divided into subsections makes reading very interesting and simple.

This is an excellent way of formatting your content. If people will find your work just in a block form, it will look like a thesis to them.

Do you think they will be interested to read? Definitely not!

No one is interested in lengthy and block content; it is tiring.

Sectioning you work is actually a very simple task, just arrange your ideas correctly and make sure that the title is related to the ideas. It is very simple!
