Kingdom Lifestyle: Part ONE

What does it mean to live a Kingdom lifestyle?

I’m glad YOU asked.

The Lord has been working on this in my life over the last 10 years and I’m excited to share that I still don’t have it all figured out! Hahaha. BUT I do believe He’s given me some keys that many of us have within us, we just don’t realize it yet.

Firstly, what is a lifestyle of Kingdom? What does that look like?

Personally, I think Jesus’ life is the GREATEST www.feelextraspecial.com example. I’m sure you’d agree.

He loved the hopeless, cared for the widows, called the little children unto Himself.

He called the outcasts to be His disciples, lived as a servant {though He was fully God!} and gave His life for our freedom.

He healed the sick, raised the dead and cast out demons.

He touched the untouchables and set captives free.

He loved UNCONDITIONALLY.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

He didn’t do all of this because He had to but because He CHOSE to. He lived a lifestyle of Kingdom by simply ABIDING in His relationship with Father-God. We read about Him going to a quiet place to communicate with His Father often. This was His Source. But that’s not all… He didn’t wait for the private moments with His Father to live a lifestyle of Kingdom, He simply released the Kingdom of Heaven through His EVERYDAY life.

And that’s what we’re called to do.

“Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.” Luke 17:20-21

This compartmentalization of our relationship with God & the Church is not what Jesus gave His life for. We cannot simply go to church on Sunday and live as though that’s the “goal” of our life as a Believer in Jesus Christ. If going to church was enough the religious temple goers of Jesus’ day would have been enough! They weren’t. This is why they crucified Christ, because He called them to MORE {on so many levels!}.

He gave His life so that we could have a living, breathing, constant relationship with Him; AND so that we could be His Kingdom here on earth TODAY.

We are called to be His Church that loves unconditionally, serves without limit, gives away HOPE, JOY, PEACE & LOVE- everywhere we go. How? Simply by tapping into our relationship with Him & Heaven.
