Most travelers begin, the Langtang Trek from Syabribesi after 8-9 hours of driveway From Kathmandu. Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, which is located at 1400m and we consider this as our starting point, to Syabrubesi in 2380. You have to go up almost 900m on the first day while you drive from Kathmandu to syabrubensi. This makes, the average altitude you pass daily between 500-600m, and the making one to the maximum stage Kanjing Gumpa(4773m).

Gosainkunda or Gosain Kunda, is an alpine freshwater religiously sacred lake in Nepal’s Langtang National Park. Gosaiunda is located at an elevation of 4,380 m (14,370 ft) in the Rasuwa District having a surface of 34 acres.
Gosaikunda, is a significant area of interest on the Helambu trekking course too, which we will reflect upon after This trek also takes you into the famous Langtang Valley trek in the same district. En route, you’ll encounter alpine forests and blooming Rhododendrons. For lodging or meals, Local Tea houses offer a variety of snacks that you get pumped.
This trek to Gosaikunda begins in Dhunche Village or SyabruBesi o, the first day mainly involves a long continuous adventurous climb through rocky paths to reach Chandan Bari in an altitude of about 10,550 ft. Laurebinayak in the elevation of 3,700 m (12,100 feet ) could be reached on the second day. At this time, some people choose to proceed to Gosaikunda, although altitude illness is a concern to many as the road is rather steep. Others choose to stay in Laurebinayak, which also provides them enchanting sunset and sunrise views of the Langtang and Ganesh Himal. The descent from Gosaikund into Sundarijal takes about four days, involving a brief but incredibly fun climb to Laurebina La in 4,610 m, a rapid descent to Phedi and then to Ghopte. Based upon your needs and strengths, there are choices to stay at Thadepati, Mangengoth, Kutumsang and at many local villages farther downhill. The trails are very well marked, except between Ghopte and Thadepati and not to mention that the locals are very supportive when it comes to helping people trekking. This makes this trek, an inviting route for solo travelers too.
Including Gosainkunda & Helambu in your Trek
Gosainkunda with Helambu Trek, is gaining more popularity as it establishes itself as a perfect mix of spiritual and natural trek to Langtang Valley. Without going to Syabrubesi, we stop at Dhunche on our drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche and the next day we begin our walk to Gosainkunda. Then we pass through, the beautiful villages of Lauribina and Chandanbari. Then, finally, it requires us to Gosainkunda. In Gosaikunda, not only it is possible to observe the Hindu faith but also experience the coldness of the Himalayan snow in Gosainkunda Pass. Thenwe walk downhill through the mostly rocky trail to Helambu.
Helambu is a beautiful Tamang village, that promises you mesmerizing panoramic views of the Himalayan Mountains. What makes this village evern more fun and rewarding to encounter, is the kindness of the natives and their energy towards life.
