Technology of the Future- Nikola Tesla

When we talk about technological advancements of modern era, the first things that come to mind such as artificial intelligence, world wireless energy or flying drones, we often forget they all came from a fertile mind of a genius who electrified the world. Tesla´s contributions and accomplishments are finally being recognized today, after his name was erased from science textbooks for decades, and more and more scientists are coming forward claiming Tesla´s technology is the future of our civilization.

Famous Inventions

Alternating current (AC) system, radio, remote control, Tesla coil, X-ray machine, induction motor, rotating magnetic field, etc. are only some of the numerous technologies that improve our every-day lives and the list goes on and on. A Serbian who emigrated to America in 1884, Nikola Tesla held approximately 300 patents and should have been more famous for his inventions than history has awarded. He was a scientist and a visionary who set a precursor for internet and computers and was also a pioneer of renewable energy. Nine out of the 12 patents used to build one of the world’s first hydroelectric stations, erected at Niagara Falls, New York belonged to Tesla. According to the Tesla Science Center, Tesla helped pave the way toward clean energy because he understood the true physics behind energy and what might be possible in the future.

Unknown Tesla

However, all these inventions that we know of were created in the first half of Tesla´s life, which is before 1901, what we know very little about and it´s wrapped in a mystery is the second part of his life, that is from 1901 to 1943. When he died, there was so much interest in what he was working on that the FBI raided his hotel room and took charge of all of his scientific papers, that have remained in secret to this day. What we do know is that Tesla´s main idea was to provide free world wireless energy available to everyone, and we would only need antennas to put it to use- which would mean no electricity bill could have ever been charged to anyone. Tesla claimed his experiments were successful but unfortunately his project was cancelled because free energy was just not profitable enough for the ones who were calling the shots. Furthermore, Tesla even reportedly invented a death ray that is a weapon that allows you to shoot a beam of microscopic particles towards living beings or objects to destroy them which inspired a creation of the laser ray gun in the scientific movies. Moreover, although the most famous electric car company goes by his name, Tesla claimed he invented the car motor that would only use radiant energy, which means no petrol or fossil fuels would be necessary.

Genius Who Loved Games of Chance

At the age of 19, Tesla studied electrical engineering at the Polytechnic Institute of Graz, Austria, where he quickly established himself as a star student. The next six years of his life were devoted to electromagnetic fields and the creation of a motor powered by alternating current. But instead of finishing his studies, Tesla became addicted to the game, lost all his tuition money, dropped out of school, and suffered a nervous breakdown. His favorite games of chance were cards and billiards, and some of his friends say he was also into sports betting. When he moved to America, at the age of 28, he had managed to put his gambling passion under control, although he kept claiming that there is a law in the universe that would allow him to always win. Nowadays, America is famous for its online betting sites, such as SBO.net who has the best US betting sites in 2022 and where you can find the most trustworthy US sportsbooks to choose from. Their recommended betting sites have great reputations and offer the best lines in the industry. All the work is done for you, so you don´t have to worry about safety.

Tesla was claimed to be “man out of time” by his biographer Margaret Cheney because his scientific accomplishments were too ahead of his time. As he would often say “people don´t understand my ideas, but that´s fine, however the future I have worked so hard for, belongs to me”.
