CSGO might not be the modern day FPS shooter with the most advanced graphics but when it comes to 5v5 competitive titles, it easily manages to stay at the top of the table.
While the game does not offer a lot of unique abilities like Valorant does, it is still considered to be one of the toughest games to master, till date. And if you want to raise your status above the rest of the newbies, here is a list of top 5 things that you MUST know in CSGO to be the Pro!
Get Used to the Console
A lot of newbies use the console for the most basic things but if you want to become a pro, you need to dive deep into CSGO commands. Trust me, you will be amazed by how useful some of these commands can be.
There are all sorts of commands to make your experience more smoother in the game, all the from binding different keys to making the servers more responsive to your requests.
Learn how to Boost
I am sure most of you didn’t know that you can actually boost in CSGO to gain some extra speed to catapult yourself onto some hard-to-reach places. In order for you to do that, you’d need a team member.
So the way it works is you get your teammate to crouch while you jump on him. Now let your teammate stand back and as he is standing. you can jump on him while he moves forward to throw you forward. Try it out, it’s super fun!
Don’t Be a Bully
CSGO is all about teamwork. If you don’t work well with your teammate, you are basically doomed. And teamwork goes both ways, you need to respect your mates even if they aren’t performing well, because if you are a bully or your teammate is being a bully to you, it messes up your team’s morale.
I know playing with random teams isn’t easy, but you gotta have some patience for things to work, especially if you want to win. Be a team player, not a bully!
Use Smoke Grenades
I just can’t tell you how important smokes are in CSGO, it saves you from a lot of difficult situations. Want to cross a narrow opening? throw a smoke grenade to be invisible. Want to confuse your mates? throw a couple smokes at different sides and leave your enemies baffled.
But more importantly use these smokes to create a cover for your attack, there are a ton of spots in CSGO that pro players use to throw smokes in a specific area that makes for a great hunting spot. Just find them out on the internet and Voila, you are a Pro!
Don’t Overbuy
Now there are times when you just don’t actually need some stuff but you still end up picking items randomly in hope of using it later but you don’t. So, just save up the extra bucks for a more expensive gun that actually works for you.
Because when you are in a competitive match, every little thing counts and it can turn the outcome in your favor!
